Meet… paraplanner Ebony

We believe that to help you, we need to get to know you – and vice versa. So, here’s your chance to learn a little more about the people who make up the Paraplanning Hub team.

Ebony has a passion for people and started working for us in early 2020 after her desire to make a difference led her to the world of finance in 2019.

Her passion is making effective financial recommendations that are easy for people to understand, and she describes her role as ensuring people’s financial needs are met and their money is working for them.

We asked her some of our most probing questions to see what makes her tick…

When you’re not at work, we can find you… Shopping or eating!

Most important lesson you’ve learned in your working life: Teamwork makes the dream work.

What was your strangest job? I’m really lucky, none of my jobs have been particularly strange!

Where is your favourite place to visit? New York City or Santorini

Do you have any hobbies? Shopping, eating and beach walks with my shih tzu Nelly.

If you were an animal what would you be? A dog, or, more specifically, Nelly; she’s the princess of the house!

If you were an ice cream flavour what would you be? White chocolate chip

Do you speak any languages? Only English, but I would like to learn another.

What is your biggest pet peeve? Bad manners – I hate it when people don’t say please and thank you.

If you could be anyone for the day who would you be? Kate Middleton – I’m obsessed with the royal family.

What is your proudest moment? Either passing my first paraplanning exam or when my niece, Ada, was born in September 2019.

What is your guilty pleasure? I don’t think I have one – I don’t feel guilty about any of my pleasures!

Describe yourself in three words: Happy, motivated, friendly

What did you want to be when you grew up? A counsellor

What always makes you happy? Food

What do you do to relax? Chat to my mum or go shopping

And finally, what’s your most controversial opinion? Summer is very overrated; Christmas is far better!
